Scream if you see the bear. In this class the girls of a local japanese highschool learns to express themselves vocally when confronted with molestors and other naughty people, and guess what. The loudest girl wins. Pun intended.

Summer vacation is on the doorstep and on a combined initiative from the local police and the school they are holding a scream-for-help-as-loud-as-you-can contest to deter suspicious individuals. Interesting enough the girls learns nothing about real self defense and is instead left to the (hopefully) assailant mob. The screams are measured with decibel meter and according to the report a 90 decibel scream is required to scare of attackers. Now this makes me wonder how on earth anyone came up with these statistics. So think twice before running head in on a sailor-fuku girl when in Japan. Be especially weary of the teacher who does a pretty good job of loudly shouting an insult to the would be perpetrator in the video.
